Nursing, Community, Medical - Enrolled Nurse
Type of Work : Part Time

Job Title : Enrolled Nurse

Job Description :

About the Position

Anglicare’s Community Aged & Disability teams provide support and services that enable our clients to maintain their independence - living happily and healthily within their own homes.  We recognise that one size does not fit all, and working together is the key to great outcomes.  Our non-clinical lifestyle programs are designed to support individual needs, incorporating the principles of social inclusion, choice and control, enablement, empowerment and independence; and our clinical supports include nursing and allied health care at home, along with domestic and personal assistance.

We are currently looking for a part time Enrolled Nurse to join us, working 24 hours per week. Servicing a dedicated area across the northern suburbs of Brisbane, our Enrolled Nurses are encouraged to achieve goals and offered continuous professional development, backed by an empowering management team.  The overall purpose is to deliver individualised, quality, planned care that meets the needs of clients/carers in their home environment, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

About You

To become a member of this small, collaborative team, you must offer the following:

  • A background of nursing within the Community Sector

  • Active participation in clinical practice including case conferencing and other forums

  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and common law practice relating to enrolled nursing

  • Effective and time sensitive reporting and documentation

  • Dedication to continuous quality improvement and high care standards

Our successful candidate will be flexible, approachable and proactive with the following personal attributes:

  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - but especially good at listening and hearing what others have to say

  • Organised, punctual and trustworthy

  • Committed to working with people with particular needs and supporting them to be the best they can be

  • Offer creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm, and love being part of a team

Your qualifications will include:

  • Current AHPRA registration and Practicing Certificate

  • Ability to commit to permanent, part time hours

  • A current Queensland Driver Licence

  • A National Police Certificate

  • Working locally in the Brisbane region with a team of dedicated professionals

  • Career progression and development in the form of internal and external training

  • Work and life balance with part time hours

  • The ability to increase your take home pay with salary packaging options
